Key Takeaways PHYGITAL AGENCY's commitment to sustainability (ESG):

  • Environment: working towards a green office and cutting the carbon footprint of digital work (Digital Carbon Footprint) on the way to Net Zero.
  • Social: creating socially responsible advertising, caring for our team's well-being and advancing equality (DEI).
  • Governance: doing business transparently, opposing corruption 100%, and protecting data to the highest security standards.

PHYGITAL AGENCY COMPANY LIMITED believes the strongest businesses grow together with a healthy planet and society. As a digital marketing and technology provider we have no factory, but we recognise that the digital world also uses energy and can affect the environment.

To align the company with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and sustainable business standards, we set the following ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) policy as the compass for our employees, management and partners:

Environmental

PHYGITAL AGENCY is committed to reducing its environmental impact both offline and online:

1.1 Digital Carbon Footprint Reduction: the digital world is not weightless. Cloud storage, AI training and loading web pages all use large amounts of electricity in data centres. Our policy is:

  • Green Web Development: build websites and applications that run fast, with clean code and image optimization, to cut the energy used for downloads.
  • Green Hosting: support and choose cloud or server providers with a renewable energy policy or a carbon-neutral target.

1.2 Green Office:

  • Digital First & Paper Reduction: work through digital systems to keep paper use to a minimum, reserving paper and ink signatures for accounting, legal and tax documents the law requires us to keep (such as the 5-year retention required by Thailand's Revenue Department).
  • Eco-Friendly Procurement: prefer sustainable materials and office supplies, such as Eco-fiber/FSC paper and office furniture made from recycled board, fabric or plastic, produced in a socially and environmentally responsible way.
  • Energy Efficiency: use energy-saving appliances (Thailand's No. 5 label with three stars or more, or equivalent) and switch off equipment and lights whenever they are not in use.
  • Waste Management: sort office waste, stop using single-use plastics and reuse materials (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). The company received a Letter of Recognition (LOR) under the LESS (Low Emission Support Scheme) programme of Thailand's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, issued by TGO, for a waste-sorting-for-recycling project that cut greenhouse gas emissions by 449 kgCO₂e (Jan 2024 – Jan 2025).

1.3 E-Waste Management: computer equipment and electronic parts at the end of their life are disposed of or recycled through nationally certified organisations, so that toxic substances do not leak into the environment (Zero E-waste to Landfill).

1.4 Measuring the Company's Carbon Footprint (GHG Scope 2 — Indirect Emissions): PHYGITAL AGENCY is building a baseline of its indirect greenhouse gas emissions from electricity use (Scope 2), using the calculation method recognised by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO):

  • Method: electricity used (kWh) from the electricity bill × emission factor 0.4999 kgCO₂e/kWh (TGO's current value).
  • Status: we are collecting past electricity bills to calculate the first-year baseline and will publish the figure once the calculation is complete.

Social

We care about people: our own team, communities, and the consumers who see our work.

2.1 Social Impact & Community Empowerment: we believe in growing together with communities. PHYGITAL AGENCY is committed to using its digital marketing expertise to create shared value (CSV), such as sharing knowledge, running training, and helping small businesses, community enterprises and farmers reach online markets, to build income and a sustainable local economy, and to support projects for the environment, communities and society.

2.2 Local Community Engagement: as an agency rooted in Chiang Mai, we hire and share income with local freelancers, artists and production teams, to help the community's creative economy grow sustainably.

2.3 Responsible Advertising:

  • We refuse to produce advertising that spreads hate speech or discrimination, or promotes values that are toxic to society.
  • We refuse to work with illegal businesses, or with businesses that seriously harm the environment or community health.

2.4 Human Rights & DEI:

  • PHYGITAL AGENCY welcomes diversity of gender (LGBTQIA+), age and background (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).
  • We follow labour law strictly, respect the "Right to Disconnect" outside working hours, and have no policy of using child or forced labour.

Governance

Transparency and ethics are the foundation of PHYGITAL AGENCY's credibility:

3.1 Anti-Corruption & Gift Policy: we have a Zero Tolerance policy on corruption and on giving or taking bribes in any form. Procurement with both the public and private sectors must be transparent.

  • Giving and receiving gifts: PHYGITAL AGENCY allows gifts to show thanks on festive occasions and in line with appropriate business custom, but their value must not be excessive, and gifts that hide a conflict of interest or aim to induce an unfair decision are strictly prohibited.

3.2 Data & AI Ethics:

  • Data Privacy: protect clients' business secrets and personal data as strictly as possible, under the PDPA and international standards.
  • Ethical AI: use artificial intelligence responsibly, without infringing intellectual property, and never input clients' confidential data into public AI.

3.3 Sustainable Supply Chain: we expect and encourage our suppliers and sub-contractors to run their business with ESG principles in mind. The agency reserves the right to review a business relationship if a partner is found to break the law, act corruptly, or seriously damage the environment.

3.4 Anti-Corruption Enforcement:

  • Compliance Officer: the company's senior management oversees compliance with this anti-corruption policy. Questions and reports can be sent to hello@phygital.co.th.
  • Whistleblower Channel: the company provides a confidential channel for reporting information or tips about corruption at hello@phygital.co.th. Anyone who reports in good faith is protected and faces no penalty for reporting.
  • Penalties: employees or related persons who commit corruption or give or take bribes face the most serious disciplinary action, up to dismissal, and/or prosecution under the law.
  • Training: management and relevant employees must be trained on the anti-corruption policy at least once a year. Management has completed this training, and new employees are trained within their first 90 days.

3.5 Intention to Join CAC (Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption): PHYGITAL AGENCY COMPANY LIMITED declares its intention to apply for membership of the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC), run by the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) and the Thai Chamber of Commerce, in line with the principles of Thailand's Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC). We believe fighting corruption must start with concrete action by the private sector. More about CAC: cac.or.th

PHYGITAL INSIGHT

“We often forget that the online world does not float in the air: it runs on data centres that use huge amounts of electricity. PHYGITAL AGENCY believes a modern agency has to look beyond how a screen looks and design digital architecture that uses as few of the planet's resources as possible. That is where truly tangible sustainable marketing begins.”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Because climate change and social inequality concern everyone. Modern businesses, especially listed companies and enterprises, also look for transparent, environmentally responsible supply chains. Clear ESG standards at PHYGITAL AGENCY help our partners reach their own sustainability goals with us.

It is the greenhouse gas produced by using the internet and digital devices, for example by keeping piles of unneeded files in the cloud, or by running websites with heavy code that loads slowly. PHYGITAL AGENCY reduces it by designing websites that are light (optimised) and load fast, and by storing only the data that is needed. This helps the planet and also cuts the client's business costs.

No. Exaggerated advertising breaks the rules of Thailand's Office of the Consumer Protection Board and goes against our own ethics (Governance). If a client wants environmental marketing, our strategy team analyses the case and proposes a campaign based only on facts and what the client really does, to protect the brand's long-term credibility.

Not if it is done transparently. PHYGITAL AGENCY allows gifts (such as New Year gifts or hospitality) to build good relationships as normal business practice, under a strict rule: "they must not be of excessive value, and must never be intended as a bribe or in exchange for favours that help win a bid."

We do not yet have a separate formal ESG report, but our commitments are disclosed in this policy, and we are ready to explain more if a corporate client needs information for a supply chain assessment.

Yes. This policy is a formal document that reflects PHYGITAL AGENCY's Environmental, Social and Governance approach. For additional documents or explanations to support a submission, contact hello@phygital.co.th.

We have not yet set a formal Net Zero target year, but we keep reducing our digital carbon footprint under policies 1.1–1.3 (Green Web Development, Green Hosting, E-Waste Management) and will set clearer targets as the company grows.

Yes. Our anti-corruption policy is designed in line with the announcement of Thailand's Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) and covers its key elements: a written policy, a whistleblower channel, penalties, an employee training plan and a compliance officer. Supporting documents for a submission are available from hello@phygital.co.th.

CAC (Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption) is the Thai private sector's anti-corruption coalition, started by the IOD (Thai Institute of Directors) together with the Thai Chamber of Commerce. Certified companies receive a certificate showing they have an adequate anti-corruption system by international standards. PHYGITAL AGENCY is currently in Phase 1 of its ESG Roadmap, has declared its intention to apply to CAC, and is preparing the required documents.

We measure GHG Scope 2 (indirect emissions from electricity use) under the standard set by TGO (Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization), with the formula: electricity used (kWh from the bill) × emission factor 0.4999 kgCO₂e/kWh. We started collecting baseline data in October, to plan long-term greenhouse gas reduction.
